Projects

Currently, I have been working on two meta-analytical studies that focus on clarifying the role of motivation as a determinant of health behaviors such as physical activity participation.

The SMS: A meta-analysis

Pre-candidacy project

This study aims to address the relationship between motivation, measured by the Sport Motivation Scale, and physical activity outcomes. Besides helping elucidate the role of motivation as a predictor of behavior in the sports, physical education and exercise contexts, this meta-analysis will provide a better understanding of the strengths and limitations of the Sport Motivation Scale.

AGT and SDT meta-analysis

Candidacy Project

This project consists of analyzing two major motivation theories, self-determination theory and achievement goal theory. With this research we aim to further understand the relationship

between AGT's constructs and the different types of motivation proposed by SDT, as well as examining whether these associations can explain adherence and maintenance of health behaviors, particularly physical activity behavior.
